Group Exercise

Due to COVID-19, the Fitness Center is closed until further notice.

Like you, YWCA New Britain is largely staying home to ensure the health and safety of our staff and members. But it is still important to us to stay connected and keep you engaged during this time. To help you stay healthy and well, members can join the YWCA New Britain Wellness Group on Facebook, use the SugarWOD app for virtual (and live) fitness, or visit our YouTube channel for workout and wellness videos.

We look forward to a time when we will be together again.


 

SugarWOD Fitness App

At YWCA New Britain, our goal is to provide the most supportive environment possible for our members and guests. This is even more important in our current environment.

We are committed to your health and fitness goals despite the fact that we cannot be together at the facility right now. Through SugarWOD, we will be providing live workouts you can do at home along with videos and wellness content to keep you motivated during this time.

SugarWOD is a fun (and FREE) mobile app that makes tracking your progress easy. PLUS it lets our incredible community interact, share successes, and provide a little extra encouragement via fist bumps and comments. Click here to see our offerings, how to get started on the app, and more.

"I was anxious when I saw that 'Couch to 5K' was on the afternoon fitness schedule. After a few weeks, with patience and understanding from Beth, I was doing better than I thought I could ever do in the class. Jokingly, I said we should do a 5K.  And so we did.
